Suspended Landscapes
I created a personal language of forms, lines, and symbols that invites the viewer to be part of my poetic landscapes. As a journey through moments of inner stillness and reflection, I bring a latticed network of suspended realms. I merge terrestrial journeys with celestial terrains that become interconnected evoking a sense of place. A personal language of paths, swirls and drips emerge on canvas leading to higher spiritual realms. Words are replaced with an emergence of rhythm, texture, and symbols. What remains is not a text to be read linearly, but a visual topography. My invented vocabulary provides a gateway to experience magical moments, places of self-reflection and wonder. By shifting our ordinary relationship with language, I create an open-ended space for contemplation. These thought maps invite the subconscious to wander, prompting viewers to trace the inner ponderings of memory, silence, and imagination.
Using mixed media materials, acrylic, and pen and ink one is transported into the vastness of the universe. The work takes the viewer’s eye beyond what is defined on the surface toward a profound yet mysterious sense of beauty where one is left with a suggestion of what lies beyond.
