Due to rapid glacier melting, a remote Inuit community in Ilulissat, Greenland is experiencing major calving where ice masses are seen regularly gliding slowly and steadily towards the sea. They are struggling to keep their settlement sustainable due to changes in ice conditions. Traditional Inuit customs hold a belief that non elements like water, ice, and rocks are sacred and protective and that spirits live in and under the ice and sea. This magical Inuit settlement continues to instill hope that their small village will survive surging sea levels.
